Everyone who wants joins Drama Crew and works on a musical -- last summer we did "Into the Woods" and in previous summers we have put on "Bugsy Malone", "Once on this Island" and "Once Upon a Mattress". Many cabin groups perform plays on theater nights, or write and film a production in the video barn. Talent nights encompass a variety of material: improv, dance, a flute solo, stand up comic or Monty Python skit.
Music is an integral part of camp life. We do a great deal of singing and offer lessons on acoustic guitar, banjo and harmonica. Once a week we gather in the Main House for a Sing, and by mid-summer more campers than staff are performing. Some campers sing by themselves, others in small groups; cabins sometimes write and perform their own songs. In addition the rock/jazz bands include electric guitar, keyboard, bass, drums, vocalists and a horn and wind section. Bands composed of both campers and staff play for dances and talent nights.

Six buildings host arts activities that include: art (drawing, sketching, painting, etc.); ceramics (our studio has work tables, two wheels and an electric kiln); Fabric Arts; stained glass; woodworking (where children build everything from shelves to games, jewelry boxes or treehouses); and jewelry, (silver and copper bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings). Other Crafts include beading, fimo, basketry, book making, batik, collage and knitting. Projects made in our studios are featured in the photo gallery.
The seven week full season allows time for depth of instruction, skill development and impressive accomplishments.

"Alex had such a WONDERFUL summer, and looks forward (daily) to going again next year." Theodore, Boston MA
